One off the huge benefits of Active Rain is the networking along with the sharing of marketing and technology ideas. I like the extra ideas on marketing with business cards. Just who wouldn't pass these out these or their own home. I need to brainstorm some more ideas with the cards!
3 Creative Custom Business Card Ideas-- Print Marketing Campaign
When I get a new listing one of the first things I do after taking photos is to create a business card featuring the property for sale. I heard about this idea at a real estate conference years ago- and I haven't seen any of my competitors utilizing it. I have found that I can create my own cards using VistaPrint for under $50/250 cards.
Each card is double-sided with 2 of the best photos of the home, usually enhancing the best feature such as the view. Then I include my contact information, my website, a link to the listing information, and of course, the address. Some properties I have created a custom QR Code that I also include on the card. I find that when you give these to the seller... they are more than happy to pass them out! They are pleased with your creativity and can't wait to share them with their friends, or anyone that they think might be interested in the house. I also have them in the flyer box at the listing, pass them out at Open Houses, and use them as a business card as long as I have the listing.
Here are some examples of the cards I have created:
After a few years of blogging on AR, and building my Google presence... I decided to encourage people to Google me by creating a business card that had my name in the search box for Google. The back of this card included my Facebook pages and Blogs. I like to share this one at conferences where I met other agents. It is a great tool to get them to remember you- and encourage them to connect with you via social media.
My current business card is a little different than the rest of the agents within our company or our office. ( of course).
I used the template from Intero for the front of the card. But I designed the back of the card strictly for encouraging clients, agents, prospects, and anyone passing by the office to connect with me via Facebook!
I have included my "365 Things to do in the Palm Springs Area Facebook Page" at the top... by far my most "active" page, with over 20+ new fans a week. Each day I post new and different things to do in our area, including dining specials, golf events, hiking info, balloon rides, happy hours, live music, etc. I frequently share my hyper-local AR blogs there!
In the middle is my "La Quinta Country Club Homes" Facebook Page, which is where I live, work and play!
If I was given an extra $300/mo. to use for print-- I would begin a consistent postcard farming campaign!
If you have other ideas or suggestions for utilizing business cards for print advertising/marketing, I would love to hear from you!
