There are certain things that each Buyer or Seller needs to do first. Buyers get pre approved or provide proof of cash. Sellers get pre inspections and bids for the Listing File. Lot owners start the perc and process process. Sales and purchases are a process not an impromptu appointment.
How To Answer...But I Just Want To See The Inside?
A call came in last week asking questions about my listing in Pikesville's Long Meadow Estates located at 3121 Autumn Drive.
I have no problem answering questions about my listings from agents or potential buyers.
Some of these questions might be...
How many bedrooms? How many baths? What type of heat? Why are they moving? Is the basement finished? Any updates? How long has it been on the market? What is the square footage? What size is the lot? What are the school systems? and of course... What is the price?
After giving information and answering most of the questions, the caller said " I want to see the inside." I asked "When?" and was told ..." Right now. I am sitting in front of the house."
Now it is my turn to ask a few questions.
They go like this.
''Are you working with a real estate agent? Why don't you have your agent call me for an appointment? Are you paying cash or will you be getting a mortgage?"
A few answers from the caller.
" Yes, I have an agent. I don't want to bother my agent. I am not paying cash and I don't know how much I can afford. We are just starting to look and our agent told us to find a house we like, take a look and call when we are ready to buy."
