iPad Tutorial to Add Photo to Blog Using Dropbox App

You know , I cannot wait to test this out. I have been using Flickr techniques that William Johnson and I collaborated on  to figure out but this looks even better to me! I cannot wait to try my first Dropbox photo adding iPad post this week! Neat! Thanks, William Johnson! Oops. I think I just got it to work TWICE !

Using Dropbox App to Add photos to Blog Post Created on the iPad

 White Rose

This blog was written and the photo above was added to this blog directly from my iPad.

Step 1  Download Dropbox onto your PC or Mac and download the free Dropbox App to you iPad.

Step 2 if your photo resides on your computer, locate it and drag/drop to your Dropbox file. It will automatically sync to your iPad

Step 3 Open the Full Version of ActiveRain and click on "Write a Post".

Step 4 Open your Dropbox app and locate the photo.

Step 5 In the upper right corner you will see a paperclip icon. Click on it.

Step 6 Select "Copy Link to clipboard"

Step 7 Go back to your ActiveRain post setup and click photo icon to add the phot

Step 8 On the line that says Image URL, touch and hold your finger on the line and paste the URl shortcut created

Step 9 Using the same procedure as you have before, name the photo, resize it, etc.

Step 10 Insert Photo into the draft post.

I dropped and dragged over 800 photos into Dropbox on my iMac and they synced automatically with my iPad. These are photos that I first upload to to adjust and add my name on the photo. I save them in My Documents and then simply drag and drop into Dropbox and they are then made available to the iPad.

Once again Cheryl Thanks for finding this. I am going to try it this week. I generally like to modify my format and sometimes color my font which I do not know how to do from my Ipad. I use Kompozer on my laptop.

I do not know that either yet but this is a better photo idea on the iPad. I just read some agents are using Google Docs or gmail to modify post formatting.

Hi Cheryl, I was thinking of you when I figured this out. I did not want to move my photos but as you also now know, this works the same way of using the URL of the photo that both Dropbox and Fickr provide. So in many ways the same process. Why I like it better iis thatt I am incontrol of the photos. :-)

What I researching now are the different programs wiith effects like text and frames, etc  and I found a few things that I will write about later in the week.

What I also meant to say was Thank you for re--blogging this. I also have a lot of great information I am compling on things that can be done with iPhone cameera and the special lenses that are now avaiilable to be added on. Like wide angle. Amazing stuff.
