Here are some more great ideas on how to use Evernote in your Real Estate Business. It is one of my favorite Realtor iPad apps. There is an Evernote Group on Active Rain to join and learn tips plus look for the Evernote for Dummies book scheduled March 2012.
My Preferred Real Estate Technology Tools - Part 2 Evernote
Evernote ranks right up there with DropBox, another cloud application that can be synch'd with multiple devices. It is also a free application - which really seems too good to be true. I have been using Evernote for about a year, and now can't seem to function without it.
Evernote allows you to maintain different Notebooks of information. Below is a picture of my Systems notebook where I keep track of all the systems we use for marketing. When you create a new Note you can include a PDF, JPG, word, text, etc. I haven't found anything yet that Evernote can't include in the note. If you use Firefox, you can download the Evernote extension which allows you to copy a webpage to a note for future reference.
The best part is that Evernote will index every word in the note, this includes pictures and PDF files. So, for instance, I took a picture of my previous blog using the Evernote extension within Firefox. After the new note is synch'd then all the text is indexed and search-able. In this case, I searched on Dropbox and you can see how it highlights each instance.
This is still a cloud application, so use it with caution. I'm careful not to include any sensitive information in plain english. In other words, when I use Evernot to track my passwords, I use a code for all my passwords that is only known to me.
