Catchy Titles Bring in the Clicks

I got a few questions about this Catchy Titles Bring in the Clicks Contest. Look up at the top under My Home, Blogs, Resources. Click Resources. You will see Inspirational Ideas to help write blog posts. When I was on a Sunday rampage writing posts, I checked this out and came up with a few ideas.

When writing a consumer based post, you know to make the title specific and narrow in geographical location.  But what about a member focused post?  How do you get the clicks?

A strong title is one of the surefire ways.  If you don't have a big following yet, or are new to blogging, here's a little insider tip:  Title your post so the reader's curiosity peeks and they have to click.

Titles like "I Got Fired Today" or "You'll Never Guess What Happened at My Open House" or "Excuse Me, She Said What?" are great examples of blog posts that demand the click.  Readers must know why you were fired, what happened at the open house and what was it she said.  Peer to peer posts are a part of the AR blog roll just as Market Reports and Listings.  Cruising the blog roll is a daily routine for many Rainers, stand out from the rest with a catchy title!

In the last couple of month, here are a few strong titles with high click rates:

What are they so I don't make them!
